Non-public Industry Skills Center in the field of gastronomy and waiting is a nationwide education, training and examination center, industry-oriented in one of the professional fields, integrating schools providing vocational training, continuing education centers, vocational training centers, universities and entities that carry out activities in the field of gastronomy and waitressing.
Tarnów Chamber of Crafts logoThe headquarters of the Non-public Branch Skills Center (BCU) in the field of gastronomy and waitressing is located in Tarnów, at 32 Jana Kochanowskiego Street (in the building of the Chamber of Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprise). The governing body of the BCU is the Chamber of Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprise in Tarnów. This initiative is being implemented in cooperation with an industry partner - the Polish Academy of Culinary Arts Association - and additional partners, i.e. Podkarpackie Academy of Entrepreneurship Katarzyna Podraza and Podkarpackie Academy of Skills Piotr Bassara.
Within the framework of the project in question, a new non-public educational, training and examination institution of national scope was established - the Non-public Branch Skills Center (BCU) in the field of catering and waitressing (waiter, waiter service technician, cook, catering auxiliary worker, nutrition and food service technician), which implements activities in the following areas:
Area I : education and training activities. At least 540 people (including 378 women and 162 men) will participate in on-site training and courses, at least 100 people will participate in remote mode.
Area II: activities integrating schools providing vocational education, continuing education centers, vocational training centers, universities and the business sector within the so-called Knowledge Triangle: school-university-employers.
Area III: innovation and development activities, transfer of knowledge, new technologies, digital and green transformation solutions, innovative solutions in vocational education. Cooperation with institutes and research centers.
Area IV: advisory and promotional activities, including promotion and development of catering and waitressing professions, implementation of industry competitions and tournaments for students, support of schools and universities in the implementation of career counseling.
